With PDFKit, you can split PDF files, merge them and password-protect them. The application's tools are straightforward and easy to use. It takes only a few seconds to make all the preparations and completing any operation is just as fast. You can use the application on any popular Mac OS X version and you can have it up and running in under a minute.

The application's functions can be accessed on separate pages, which are accessible through navigation buttons, located on the left side of the user interface. The largest number of options can be found when preparing a splitting operation. Besides targeting a PDF and designating a destination folder, through different Open windows, you can also choose how to split the file. You can decide to extract odd or even pages, split the document into a specific number of parts or to extract pages or page ranges of your choice.

The merging and protecting operations are straightforward and easy. All you have to do is select the source files and choose a destination folder. You also need to specify one or two passwords, when protecting a document. The application lets prevent users from opening the document without your password or to add general restrictions, to printing or copying options. Furthermore, PDFKit can protect your PDFs by using a 40 or 128-bit RC4 algorithm or the 128-bit AES protocol.

PDFKit gives you the possibility of manipulating your PDF files with only a few clicks.

Pros

You can split, merge and protect your PDFs, with only a few clicks. The application works fast and its controls are easy to master. It works on various OS X versions and it can be installed in under a minute.

Cons

There are no serious drawbacks to mention.
